Courses starting soon….
Lithography on stone was the commercial technique of the day circa 1830, rooms were filled with presses that would print the chromolithographs that have become so collectable today. Artists like Picasso, Miro, Toulouse Lautrec and many others embraced the technique as a fine art medium, pushing boundaries of its hand drawn and painted approach.
In this two session course you will learn to ‘grind’ and prepare the stone surface, draw and paint an image onto the stone surface. You will etch the image to the stone and in the second session will print your piece in a single colour…
Depending on demand we may run one or two courses, each course will run as two morning sessions over a weekend. (Saturday 10-12.30 and Sunday 10-12.30)
We will require 50% non refundable deposit to secure a place to buy materials for the course in advance.
